At $7.00 per car, its not cheap, but they offer beautiful scenery, clean facilities, a snack bar, and some dog privileges.. One of my favorite places in key west!

Every time I visit Key West I squeeze to visit this beach, the sand is soft and the water crystal clear. Snorkling on the rocks is a must so don't forget your gear! There is also a little convenience store/ restaurant that serves really good food, of not you can always BBQ there they provide grills and benches.
Ride your bike to here from anywhere in Key West. There is a small admission fee . Bring water shoes to wade or swim. Pay minimal charge to rent snorkel and fins. A picnic lunch also works well. There is plenty of shade if you wish and picnic tables available.
The water was great to swim in, though water shoes did help. Watching the pelican's fish and the fish jump was fascinating.
Loved watching a cruise ship coming in while walking on the beach. Make sure to bring beach socks - very rocky, but totally worth it! The scenery is fantastic. Not as sandy and pretty as Smathers Beach, but lots of shade. Perfect to bike to from pretty much anywhere on the island.

My boyfriend and I rented bikes and cruised our way out to Fort Zach at the recommendation of our inn keeper at Duval House. What a great find! Not only is...

What a gem of a Beach. You have to pay $2.50 to get into the park, but once you're in there is a beach, showers and food. Best to go on a bike.

The sand is a bit rocky, and depending on how sensitive your feet are, you may need water shoes to enter the water (the rocks are not sharp, just somewhat gravelly and can be awkward to navigate right at the water line). There is a quick...

This was recommended to us as more of a family friendly beach in Key West. The park was beautiful, and the beach was pretty, as well. The snorkeling was great here. The kids saw all kinds of fish. It made for a fun afternoon!
There is not much to the fort other than the walls and canons, but it is a piece of history.
Standing on the roof you can see into the surounding water and part of the town.
Some parts are still being preserved, but still it allows for some great photography, and to get a look into the past.
I went...
