We visited Key West the second week in October. This is by far the best beach in Key West, we spent almost every day here. There is an entrance fee, but it's an all day pass, so we returned at night to watch the sunset. more

There is a small entrance fee a carload of 6 cost $8. If you are used to beaches in southern New Jersey or the outer banks you will think this is a "GREAT" beach (clear water, but little surf). Don't listen to people who say Key West doesn't have beaches. I am a beach person and Fort Zachary did great for me!
