Nice view, a little pricey though. I had a 2 for 1 coupon and it was well worth that. more

Located across the street from the Hemingway house nestled among trees, so unless you know its there or are looking for it you could walk right pass it. 10 dollars to get in is a bit pricey but everything in Key west is pricey. I have been in taller lighthouses, so the climb to this one was not bad at... more

I enjoyed the Lighthouse. It was an easy climb, not very busy, and has great views. It was $10 per person, I thought that was a little high but it does go to the preservation of a great piece of history. If you're squimish about heights wait by the impressive banyan tree. The museum was interesting and not overdone. more

The trip up the steps to the top of the lighthouse isn't bad-a couple of landings if you need them to rest - well worth the trip up. The view from the top is fantastic, and you can get photos from there of the Hemingway House across the street. Recorded stories have been added to the keeper's quarters and they... more

This is a low stress, low tech experience. The lighthouse climb is easy and the lighthouse keeper quarters tour is quick. The view from the top of the lighthouse provided great photo opps. The day we visited, the gift shop clerk was very friendly and informative. Please -- DON'T complain about the admission. Make the "investment" so the story can... more

My daughter and I climbed the lighthouse at Key West, Florida. It was an awesome experience. Eighty-eight steps to the top and when there, we could see everything of Key West, including the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. What is sad is that many people simply walked by the location hoping to see something else I guess. It was... more

With such a rich history, this sparce collection of static historic items needs some human commentary and stories. What little we were able to learn at the gift shop later, would have been more interesting during our wandering of the grounds. An 82 year old woman lighthouse keeper fired for anti union statements during the Civil war with pictures of... more

This is a smaller lighthouse with a narrow spiral staircase. From the top you can see the top of the old victorian buildings and overlook Key West. I took some lovely pictures from the top of the lighthouse. There is one nudist house in view. The store area has 2 cats lounging around and old lenses from the lighthouse which... more

This is the 6th lighthouse I've climbed and 5th one in Florida. It is shorter than the others so quick to climb. Nice view of Key West all around (take camera in fannie pack). Hemingway House is right across the street along with a nice restaurant called "Ernest's" next to that I recommend for a casual lunch. Lighthouse has the... more
