With all the shopping and bar crawling going on in this party town, its nice to go somewhere and see something unique. Our guide was very comical and very good. I always enjoy going into older homes which always includes a fee. But because this was Hemingways home the 10 more or less fee we paid, I thought seemed reasonable... more
This was a disappointing stop. The grounds and house were interesting, but nothing special. Our tour guide thought he was funny, but wasn't. He was also very difficult to understand. If this was $5 to get in it would be worth it, but unless you have to see it, I would pass. more
I was really looking forward to this tour as a highlight of our 4 night stay in Key West and it was, but don't plan to make a day of it. I don't think it took an hour out of our day, including the visit to the gift shop. I enjoyed the cats most of all, but I did notice... more
Even this writer doesn't interested you (in me does not) the house is still worth of seeing. Sights in large house seems to be endless and the children remain with satisfaction of watching cats. more
I learned so much on this tour! At first I felt rushed into the "next" tour group but then everyone in the group settled & listened to the guide (Diamond Dave - awesome guide). Walking through the house/property of Ernest Hemingway gave me a sense of knowing him on a personal level. I would go back! Loved the cats! more

Our tour guide was animated, well informed, eager to answer questions and very personable. He told many stories and was great with the kids in our tour. No... more
I had great expectations for the house. I think almost every single first timer to Key West has the house on the top of their plans. I would NOT suggest this tour for people who have KIDS who are under age 6-7. That being the attention span and excitement of ones in a younger age range will distract tour guides,... more
Even if you are not a Hemingway fan, this place is still worth the visit. Take the guided tour and you will learn a lot. Also, make sure to look out for the cats with the extra toes. more
Our tour guide Loren did an excellent job, man on porch collecting tickets was a nasty irritable little man! more
