My boyfriend and I enjoyed wandering through the Customs House art museum and learning all about Henry Flagler's train building expedition. If you're expecting much more than an art museum, I wouldn't highly recommend it, but if you are ready for a bit of a history lesson and many works of art from various local painters, have at it. It... More

The Museum did a fine job educating me on some of the local artist that were an influential part of the Key West culture. The historical section of the museum was also a great overview to the local history. I would highly recommend this museum to Art and History buffs. During our visit I enjoyed the displays for Mario Sanchez,... More

Lots of interesting information on Flagler's Key West extension of the Florida Railway. The complete history from the very beginning to present day. Also a great exhibit of Hemingway artifacts, etc. The restored customs house is worth seeing in itself!

If u have kids don't go there not kid friendly and very rube and not much art and the outside is really nice and cool looking and right when u go in but its nothing like that in there they must make the inside look good so you'll go in and pay. Very unhappy with it and the way me... More

Wreckers, spongers, turtles, the 'they-said-it-couldn't-be-done' overseas railroad, hurricanes, Hemingway, Truman...it's all here. It doesn't take very long to go through and it'll give you an appreciation for what made Key West what it is today.

A good way to spend 90 minutes away from rich food, souvenirs and drink. Enjoyed it.

We were steered here by a local artist and are very grateful! There are many sites in Key West and this wonderful art and history museum could easily be overlooked. The history of Key West exhibits upstairs are especially wonderful as is the historic building itself. Be sure to make time for the gift shop.

After reading several reviews about this museum, we checked it out and we were not disappointed. Perfect for a rainy day in Key West and a must if you are at all interested in how Key West came to be and the people responsible for it's development over the years. Good display and a short movie about how the railroad... More

The Building it self is beautiful and the artwork / sculptures are really intriguing. The History of Key West is so varied and should not be missed. Some of the displays do change and right now they are doing a display honoring Mr Flagler and the train. It is very well done.

This museum is in the former Custom House and is close to Duval St. and other Key West museums and Mallory Square. The structure is quite large and holds much. We went there four years ago when we were last in Key West and then it was free. Today there is a charge but it is less than other KW... More
