I stayed at the Looe Key Reef Resort & Dive Center for almost a week in September 2008 and it was great. Captains Rob & Robin did a great job on the Kokomo Cat II and I managed to see lots of fish. I always felt very comfortable even though it was my first time snorkeling. These two guys seemed... more

Looe Key and Looe Key Resort The reef was one of the best dives we have had but the "resort" was terrible. The air tasted bad, most of the crew was pushy (there was one young kid that was great), the captain was this creepy old man who only he thought he was funny. Really weird. The front end staff... more

Looe Key Resort and Dive Center needs an upgrade. The hotel is a dump and not worth even $50.00 a night. The Dive Center fills the boat with snorkelers and has no customer service. The only redeeming feature was the Tiki Hut. more

We just returned from a 2 month stay on Big Pine and Ramrod Key. The Looe Key Tiki Bar was a handy spot for a reasonable lunch and over priced cocktails. The first time we ordered their wings, they were very good. However, the next time, we had to send them back twice! While waiting for the order both times,... more

June 16, 2008 - Winds 12-13 mph. We had a party of six. The boat carried 23 snorkellers and about 9 divers and the Looe Key Dive Center (based in Ramrod Key) did a great job. The staff [Thanks - James and Robin!] were courteous and professional throughout. We saw 5-6 HUGE sting rays, 3-4 nurse sharks, a black tip... more

Not exactly a "resort". Basically a 2-star hotel with a pool, tiki bar, and dive shop. We stayed in the suite for 2 nights. It was exactly as pictured on the internet. Reasonably clean, except for the tile floors. The Tiki bar is Very Loud but the music ended at 11:00 on Fri and Sat. Food at the bar ok... more

However the live music was great especialy on the thursday when a guy called Brian Roberts played he was fantastic. We loved the... more

I spend over 100 nights each year in various hotels/resorts and I typically I read hotel reviews and do a bit of research before booking if I have the choice. However, after driving past this resort numerous times on my way to and from Key West I decided to make a reservation based entirely on the location. Looe Key Resort... more

On the day we dove, there were 2-3 foot seas, and a pretty strong current. After spending an hour at the first site, the crew returned to the dive shop, and all passengers were given full refunds. It is the actions of the crew on the dive boat which concern me the most. There were 6 divers, and maybe 10... more
