If you are looking for typical sandy beaches the Keys is probably not where you should go. Anne's beach has a long sandbar that goes a long way out and the water is perfect for the kids to learn to snorkel and look for shells and small ocean life. more

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to stop at Anne's beach to check out the long sand bar that stretches out into the ocean. I have to say - I had a fun time walking along the sand bar. The water was very warm and never went up past my waist. There were also quite a few... more

No trip to the Florida Keys would be complete without a stop to the beautiful Anne's Beach. The water is crystal clear, and the people are friendly, and the beach is free. Who could ask for anything more? more

We saw a listing for this beach in our Islamorada hotel's area guide so we decided to check it out and we were glad we did. There is a sand bar that goes out into the ocean and just keeps going and going. We went way out there and the water was never above our knees. The water was warm... more

I wouldn't say that this is the BEST beach that I have ever been to, but my kids REALLY loved it. We went to John Pennekamp State Park first and my 9 year old daughter couldn't stand it; It is very rocky. My boys (15 & 14), enjoyed the snorkeling there, but I had to find somewhere different for my... more

If you are looking for a large sandy beach in Florida- example like Ft. Lauderdale this is not it! However, if you are looking for a fantastic place to hang out, walk through trails, let the kids safely explore in shallow waters (with your supervision, of course), see and feel the scenic nature of the Florida Keys, this IS your... more

Although this wasn't a great beach, I don't think a great beach truly exists in the keys (that we found). The beach sands were rather silty and just felt gross everywhere we went. HOWEVER, at this beach they had "little paths" that went way out in the water and you still stayed mostly out of the water. I don't think... more

If you're driving through the Keys and are sick of driving or just need a place to stop for a swim and some air, Anne's Beach is the PERFECT place to stop. My husband and I drove past Anne's Beach on our way down to Key West, and then passed it again on our way back north to Key Largo.... more

Anne's Beach is very marshy and gross. Impossible to swim and the bugs are pretty bad. It looks like people party there a lot, because of all the broken glass bottles. We took a couple of pictures and then went to Founder's park which has a very nice beach, pool, and kid's park. You can rent sail boats and kayaks,... more
