I really liked the layout of the displays of old dive equipment. I also liked that they had stations set up for you to try out some of the items. I also really liked the wall of dive helmet from around the world.
If you are a diver, this is a cool place to spend an hour. Skip the movie at the beginning and just move on to the museum.
Totally fun and interesting museum. Incredible collection of diving helmets and historical diving equipment. Very knowledgeable volunteers. Very friendly. A great stop in the Keys!
There are always cheesy tourist traps that we find in our travels and we thought that this museum would fall into that category as well. A must see for anyone who has ever wondered how the divers of yesteryear did their job. Some real interesting vintage diving equipment.
Initially thought the museum looked like a cheesy tourist trap but after reading reviews decided to go. Very nicely laid out and entertaining for our 5 and 6 year old boys as there are several interactive exhibits. An interesting and educational way spend an hour and take a break from the sun.
I saw their ad in the local coupon book, and thought okay for $10.00 I will check it out. I do not dive and have no desire to learn, but I do like learning about history in any field. The tour is self guided and took me approximately a little over an hour. The exhibit was very nicely put together....
