An interesting walk and you will learn a lot about the vegetation and a little history as well. The museum is good, giftshop is nice, some of the outdoor exhibits were a little run down. The visitors center has a fine display of artifacts and information about the area. Suggest taking the free tour to see the area and hear about the flora,fauna,and building sites..the home and its grounds must have been spectacular when built.

Unkempt, minimal activities even working -- no trolley ride as advertised, no touch and explore pools -- i understand that things occasionally need repairs/refurbishing but this is a major part and should be told at time of ticket purchase -- was really disappointed here

Very interesting and pretty walk through the wilds of the unspoiled Keys. Includes a fascinating bird rescue center and information about the ecosystem, including examples of various types of mangroves.
