You can't ride a bike through it and it's $11 to get in except on infrequent special community occasions, such as the 100-year celebration of the Flagler Railroad in early 2012. Admission to the gift shop is free, though, and very interesting.

An interesting walk and you will learn a lot about the vegetation and a little history as well. The museum is good, giftshop is nice, some of the outdoor exhibits were a little run down. They have some amazing birds in a rehab center. But the biggest (literally) attraction are the giant spiders which stretch their webs across the trails....

The visitors center has a fine display of artifacts and information about the area. Suggest taking the free tour to see the area and hear about the flora, fauna, and building sites..the home and its grounds must have been spectacular when built.
Great place to visit, hike and get great pictures of the Keys nature.
they are trying to do something good at this place

Unkempt, minimal activities even working -- no trolley ride as advertised, no touch and explore pools -- i understand that things occasionally need repairs/refurbishing but this is a major part and should be told at time of ticket purchase -- was really disappointed here
I loved our visit to Crane Point. It was history and nature and so much more. There's a great little museum with history of Marathon Key. Can you imagine living here at the turn of the century? Very interesting and pretty walk through the wilds of the unspoiled Keys. Includes a fascinating bird rescue center and information about the ecosystem, including examples of various types of mangroves.
There's a nice short video to watch on the history of the Florida Keys and a nature trail with labels on several native plants on the trail.
