We were driving through the keys and decided to stop here and check out the museum and trails. The volunteers were very nice and knowledgeable, and you can learn a lot about the keys at the museum. We stopped here one morning and were pleasantly surprised by the place. It is not a large place but has a nice path that lets you see how the Keys used to be. We stumbled on Crane Point by accident. Quite a nice little museum with very helpful docents. The fish "lagoon" outside was fascinating. The trails aren't much to speak of, but the center is going through a big renovation, and I think the outdoor exhibits will improve dramatically. Visit the bird rescue center. This is actually in Marathon (easier to identify this way). We thought this would be a great trail with interesting flora and fauna. It was disappointing after visiting the Everglades!
