Clever and well done exhibits of US military engagements from World War I to present. It brought back memories of the WW II "souvenirs" my dad brought home and I played with as a kid. Bill, A Korean War vet and museum volunteer, shared a number of stories and pointed out some nuances I'd missed in one or two exhibits.... More

This museum is definitely a "sleeper", mostly because of its present location. It's down a short street housed in an industrial area, but don't let that deter you - you have a pleasant surprise awaiting you. Once inside, any military enthusiast will find lots of great memorabilia, photos, and equipment. The rooms are quite vast, so each one takes a... More

I visited here with my family which included a 13 year old. Allow yourself 2 hours to get through the entire museum. Although the outside doesn't look how you would assume (the museum is a serious of warehouses) the trip inside is worth it. A must stop that will be enjoyed by families of all ages.

TIPS: The museum closes at 4:00, so plan accordingly. It may take 2 hours to throughly review this museum. AAA, senior and military discounts are available. I enjoyed viewing this museum. It helps to have a good general knowledge of WWII to get the most from these well put together displays. It's not the Smithsonian but some of the displays... More

We were traveling from Ohio and ending in Southern, Florida. We spent the prior evening in Tampa and were trying to find something to do in the Tampa area prior to continuing our trip. We found this museum on Tripadvisor and it had great reviews. There were 7 of us (3 adults, 4 children..ages 13, 12, 10 and 2. Besides... More

Being one who can't pass up the Military Channel on the TV, and having their location so close to home (about 3/4 mile) is always interesting for me to drop in an look at their acquisitions. This is a collection of hardware from past wars that you can get up close and really get a grasp of the technology of... More

The World War I trenches. The smoke and noise add an element that is not seen. With the passing of the last WWI veteran it makes it more poignat. The Blackthorn memorial. Not enough is done here in Florida for the crew of the Blackthorn. It was nice to see them remembered.
