My family, including 2 boys (aged 10 & 5), had the pleasure of watching loggerhead turtles nest on the beach in Melbourne, Florida. It was an amazing site, that we'll never forget. It was infinitely more enjoyable to watch these turtles for 10-20 minutes than it was to spend the entire day at Sea World, with their contrived animal shows. more

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society is a must-go for visitors to the area, basically because visitors often have little or no experience with sea turtles and Melbourne Beach and the surrounding beaches represent the largest sea turtle nesting beaches on the Atlantic (and perhaps in America).
