This is an awesome place to view the nesting loggerhead turtles in June/July. You need to make reservations one month in advance due to high demand. It was awesome to sea a 250+lb. turtle migrate out of the surf on the beach beyond the tide to lay approx 100 eggs and then effortlessly turn around and move her huge body... more

Just completed a fantastic 3-day trip to Merritt Island NWR. The popular Black Point Wildlife Drive was great, but even greater were the more isolated areas with fewer people but many birds.
