We didn't have time to do both the airboat ride AND the village visit, so we chose to do the airboat ride. We were sent on a wild goose chase! The first booth we went to, they said that they couldn't accept a credit card because their machine was broken. So they directed us to their other site, which was... More

We didn't visit the Indian Village but we did take the Airboat Ride. We'd be stopping at all the Airboat operators from Naples to Miami. The Miccosukee ride caught our attention when we talked to the young native men that were selling the tickets. They were warm and helpful and convinced the four of us that they would meet our... Do NOT waist $8 here. Nothing to see, just alligators and turtles in shallow water with no food. Alligator show is disgusting, hitting the alligators with sticks, holding there mouths, hitting there noses to get them to open there mouths. When the Indian alligator fighter walked in the alligators hid in the water. He DRAGGED one out and out the... More

We visited this Indian Village on Tuesday 04-10-12. The information, native artwork, museum and presentation was excellent. The gator show run by just one Miccosukee Indian was excellent and showed his respect and care towards the gator with which he was wrestling. The wood carvings were extremely intricate and showed true knowledge of the carver. Participants could wait on line... More

Air boats, aligators and Seminoles OH My. This is fun place learn about a bit of the history of the Seminole Indian tribe, take an air boat ride and see the Everglades wild life, and expose yourself to something just a bit different.

We drove in on the Tamiami trail to go to the Shark Valley Visitors Center. We spent about 3 1/2 very pleasant hours there and, after we were done and thoroughly hungry, Anthony (our Tram Tour guide) suggested we could get a good lunch at Miccosukee "Indian Village" restaurant just outside the Shark Valley entrance road. We had seen lots... More

If you're going to pass it, you should stop and check it out. Great Florida history. I'm not sure how much it was as we went with a package thing through our resort and the county parks & rec. It is not seething I would recommend if you have to drive out of your way to get there. It was... More

Nice experience, but not much to see after one visit, maybe two like we locals do, and some times go again because tourist friends come and they want to go. Boat rides is the nicer thing they have. No good food there, so come to see and eat somewhere else!!!

Just a tourist trap and you spend way too long looking at nothing interesting. You can pass on this money pit.
