For some bizarre reason, Miami is not generally regarded as an "outdoors" activity place the way, e.g., San Diego, is. People just go to the beach and sit there. It's a shame. On our recent trip to Florida, my husband and I visited Oleta State Park. We rented bikes and kayaks for a very reasonable cost, biked and hung out on the beach. It was a great time, very picturesque and you can't beat the costs. It was a very relaxing place to spend 3 hours on our vacation! more
