there wasnt much to see here, looked like any other street. However, if you like authentic cuban food, this is definitely the place to go to. i went to Versailles based on some things i read, definitely had good food. more

I was in Miami a few years ago and we also visited Calle Ocho. There I saw the smallest and cutest school bus ever and had my first experience with the delicious mamey fruit (a mamey shake in one of the little cafés on Calle Ocho). I'd go back any time. more
I am a proud native of Miami and I feel compelled to correct your post....Calle Ocho IS relatively close to South Beach...just a short 7-10 min. drive. Although if I was a tourist I would not waste my time going to Calle Ocho, because I don't personally feel there is much there to see. With regards to crime, you are... more
Regarding previous review, Calle Ocho is NOT close to South Beach OR Ocean Blvd. South Beach and Ocean Blvd are in the city of Miami Beach & Calle Ocho is in the city of Miami! Check it out! more
We drove to Calle Ocho since it was listed in some guide books. But, I am sorry to say that it only worth driving past the main strip. Nothing much to see. Definitely nothing compared to South Beach. I wouldn't want to park my car there nor walk on the streets. Especially if you look like a tourist. I only... more
