We went there with our kids aged 2,5 and 4,5 on a quiet and rainy day, which was a good idea! The museum was quiet, and we could do whatever we wanted without waiting in line :-) The museum has a lot of activities for children in all ages. The staff was very helpful, and took their time to mingle... More

Lots of hands on exhibits, like a dentist's office, fire station, bank, Publix food store, tv recording studio, cruise line, musical instruments and some soundbooths to record your own songs, fishing, play nooks for kids under age 2,etc. Kids up to about 7 years old love it.

We had fun here but there was not a lot to do. We were done with everything in just a few hours. There was supposed to be story time but it never happened. I hear in the summer there are more activities. Otherwise you are left to wander around on your own and figure things out. It was pretty good... More

Rainy day in Miami - headed to MCM. First time, was a fantastic experience for the family and our 2 1/2 yr old. Best for kids aged 2-7 yrs. Spent 4 hours and probably could have stayed for another hour or two if the outside play area was not flooded by rain. Had a lot of activities, event/theme areas. Spacious... More

We have been to the museum a few times. Each time there were new exhibits to entertain the kids. I purchased the tickets from FloridaVacationAuction.com for less than face value and saved them for a rainy day, literally. My kids are both under 10 and enjoy the hands-on nature of the museum. The one minor inconvenience was the lack of... More

We spend a couple of hours here with our two kids (5, 7) after the museum opened during the week. Not very crowded at all. There were lots of hand-on exhibits (my kids had lots of fun in the hospital, dentist office, fire station, and Publix. Also fun was the dockyard area with the cranes, the puppet show, model boats,... More

We took my daughter here on a regular visit and she loved it so much she had her 6th birthday party there. The party was inexpensive and came with all the decorations, theme, food, etc. The kids all loved running around pretending to work at Publix, to be veterinarians, firemen and women, etc. GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILIES! Also, I am... More

This place was certainly not worth it. The exhibits are dated and my kids (5 and 10) got bored after 10 minutes. Also, the place was absolutely packed, although, to be fair, we were there on Easter weekend.

Our toddler found his favorite activity (climbing up and down the pirate ship), but we found the place to be disorganized and chaotic despite going on a weekday afternoon.
