My wife and me stayed in Miami Beach this summer for 30 nights. Every day a fun day. Of course we went Ocean Drive many times. If you come in daytime, it's easy to walk around and check out some shops. But the place is quite empty. For the typical feeling you should come at night, especially on weekends. That's... more

Prior to a meeting we spend a couple of days in SoBe and had a great time. We stayed in a small hotel at Ocean Drive. Ocean Drive is all about see and being seen. On the side walk one restaurant/bar follows the other. You always find a place to sit down eat and have a couple of drinks. Everybody... more

I thought the whole place was over rated. I'm really not sure how SoBe became this exclusive destination... personally, if I'm spending that much money on food, drinks, lodging, etc. I want it to be somewhat exclusive. We stayed on Ocean Drive at the Becons Hotel. Whilst Miami has a draw for people to visit its not really a place for children. But its ideal for youngsters and young couples.
