It's hard to imagine a more spectacular setting than Fisher Island. The perfectly manicured lawns, exotic birds walking about, white sand beach and stunning harbor. Every one drives a golf cart on the island so you almost never see a car. It is a total feeling of tranquility and security. The main house is the former Vanderbilt mansion and it... more

spent a week at fisher island march 2005 was the worst stay ever . Crowded , staff horrible , no chair at beach or pool , no tennis courts available unless you book 2 weeks in advance , and food was really bad. Overpriced , only caters to those who reside on the island . more
