i am sceptical when it comes to smaller zoos sometimes they can be a rip off and other times they can be ok-in this case it is the later-actually this zoo really exceeded my expectation- i went here with my 8 year old daughter-price was ok i think it was about $38 to get us both in-we took the monkey... more

Small but great zoo! Great Florida plants! I grew up in South Florida, but never went here because my folks thought it was too touristy when it was Caribbean Gardens (a private attraction). I don't know if it was always this good and I missed out as a kid, or if it has been improved since the city of Naples... more

This is a nice zoo and a reasonable size for a city the size of Naples. The flora there is beautiful and well marked. The banyan trees are spectacular! The kids enjoyed the zoo keeper talks that were well spaced at the animal exhibits. A highlight for my husband was the feeding of the alligators. These giant creatures leapt out... more

My family recently visited the zoo in Naples, Florida in the middle of the week. We had a great time. The animals are close enough that we can watch them lay down and eat and play. My kids were asking tons of questions and it was a relaxed environment so I didn't feel pressure from crowds to move on to... more

Naples Zoo is unlike any other Zoo I have visited. The Zoo was built on a botanical garden, most of which is still intact, so the exhibits are built around this wonderful atmosphere. It is a pleasure walking from exhibit to exhibit and seeing the variety of trees and lush vegetation. Don't miss the small boat (no waves!) trip around... more

my wife and i use to live in Naples, and we would go to the zoo 3-4 times a year, we now live 90 miles north and still make trips down to show it to friends, especially friends with kids. This is a great 1/2 day zoo where you can meet the handlers, and actually touch some of the animals.... more

We just got back from Caribbean Gardens today. We took my 2 year old son while on vacation in Marco Island. The staff at the zoo is friendly. The animals were mostly asleep because of the high temperatures. The boat ride is a fun 20 minute ride, but you have to get in line early to ensure a spot. The... more

My fiance, my son and I visited this zoo in early October 2007 and loved it! It is smaller which was perfect as my fiance has back trouble and has a difficult time getting around. I've never before experienced the excitement of getting very close to tigers (within 5 feet!) and seeing their fur and markings-they were gorgeous! The lion... more

Let me preface this review by saying my comparison zoos are Brookfield Zoo (in Illinois) and Lincoln Park Zoo (in Chicago, which is free). We visited this zoo in April, on a Saturday, and I can say that one of the best things was that it wasn't crowded at all. We had our 19 month old with us, so he... more

I think this place started off as a garden, and only recently became a zoo. This zoo is unique in that it focuses on the shows vs the animals. Prominently displayed on the map and signs as you walk in is the show schedule. I went on a Saturday afternoon, which probably made it busier than usual. The second thing... more
