I didn't get to see much of the park itself. We just pulled into the park and spent all our time on the beach. They have a nice picnic area and really close parking to the beach so that's what I liked about it. more
We paid $6 to enter the park, the main road is about a mile long. I like that there are 5 different parking lots and all are right on the beach. This state park is at the north tip of Vanderbilt Beach. We happened upon it on our GPS and were so glad we did. Be thankful that the State of Florida preserved this lovely stretch of beach along the gulf, located at the northerly end of Vanderbilt Beach. The sand is soft and the water is gentle.
