The "New Course" is nothing like the N,S,E courses of Grand Cypress. It is links style with wide fairways and deep pot bunkers near fairway mounds. While playing into the wind, you just hope that your drive does not land in one of these beasts. The greens are not as undulating as they are on the N,S,E courses but you're... More

This course in the middle of Florida has a definite Irish/Scotish feel. There are pot bunkers galore, particularly in the fairway. One hole alone had 23 bunkers! The turf is in great shape. The greens had been recently top-dressed so they were a little sandy the day I played, but otherwise are true. This well-maintained facility is somewhat spendy but... More

Okay, the course was in great shape. Fairways were perfect, traps everywhere, very challenging. But two things. First, we were waiting on every hole because there were so many people on the course. It took almost six hours for us to play eighteen holes. Second, the service here is terrible. On the third hole, our GPS on the cart stopped... More

Played the New course at Grand Cypress on Dec 7, 11. Booked on Golfnow and paid $45 which is a great rate. At the last minute a large convention grouped decided to play golf which was great for the course - they all rented clubs, paid green fees etc. Tee times got moved around a bit but that is fine... We had vouchers for a free round of golf, just pay for the cart. The course is in great condition and fun to play. the minus: the staff downstairs who set us up with the carts almost ignored us, just threw the bags on and went back to talking to each other, there must have been 6 young men there.... We played Disney Magnolia, Palm, Champions Gate, Falcon Fire in Orlando, LPGA in Daytona, but Grand Cypress is the best. We played both New Course and South and East Courses. New course is links style while South and East Courses has par 3 hole hitting to island which is very pretty hole. Both courses are well maintained and wide open.... More

Played here for the first time. Fun course, great people, great price and the food at the clubhouse was top notch. We ate lunch, played 18 and then stayed for dinner and drinks. Really enjoyable day - definitely going back. Played a Disney course the following day - the experience was 180 degrees from this one. Grand Cypress was awesome.

I regularly play a couple of times a week and yesterday was the first time I played the New Course at the Grand Cypress Resort. I've always enjoyed playing the North, South and East Courses at Grand Cypress, but for some reason or another I never got around to playing the New Course. Boy was I missing out. This is... More
