When I went there were a number of conferences being held with an estimate of at least 500 people staying. This meant long lines for the elevators, restaurants, bars, etc. When considering the high room rates and restaurant charges, you would expect a little more formal atmosphere and elegant ambience - what you get is a standard conference facility, busy,... We came here for lunch, rolled down the great entrance drive surrounded by gorgeous trees and large flower beds, under the giant portico our car was valet parked with the reminder when we said we had come for lunch, to get the parking card stamped so there would be not charge. We walked slowly through this grand historic hotel which... More

My husband and I ha a brief visit to the hotel. Valet is $20 and required, unless you validate the ticket by spending $20 or more at the hotel. We walked through the hotel and throughout the grounds. It's beautiful! Please note-- you cannot eat beachfront or access the beach unless you pay an additional $65 fee if you are... More
