I'm impressed, very nice with some real decent restaurants. Security seems to keep the riff-raff out, very family focused. I've been to Hof-Brau & 5-Guys. Spent a few evenings and weekends there. I don't think it's cool that they charge to go on the pier, other than that it's a great place. more
Pier Park is a vaction place for family or just hanging out. more
Pier Park is a great place to go in the evening or on a cloudy day. The shops are nice and there is a wide variety between upscale and regulars such as Penny's and Target. You'll find ice cream and chocolate to munch on as well as many restaraunts. The chocolate store (I forget the name, but there's only one)... more
My husband and I visited Panama City Beach twice during September to connect with NM family who were staying in that area. We visited PC Beach a few weeks ago, as part of a family reunion/grandmother's 75th birthday. So there were 20 of us and the host sat us upstairs in the open air seating with a nice view of the water. This is a glorfied shopping mall but is very pretty, brightly colored and many photo ops here. Dont miss it! more
This is personal preference, but I did not enjoy Pier Park. One can go to most of the shops there in any mall. The sidewalks were so crowded it was difficult to make way through the crowd. Pier Park has a multitude of activities for adults and kids.We stayed in a condo near Pier Park and ate dinner and lunch there a couple of times. There is a small carnival for kids, a movie theater,and at night the place is lit up nicely. We had an excellent time. It is a lot of walking, so wear comfortable... more
Panama City Beach is finally coming into the 21st century by updating everything! The best is Pier Park which offers so much in a given area! Love it! more
Me and a friend were on vacation in PCB in May 2009 and spent the better part of a day there. It was a nice mix of shops and eating places. Great way to spend some time. Makes you sort of hope for one cloudy day on the beach so you can shop. The Shimmering Seas jewelry store was tops.... more
