Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

To sum it up, it isn't the most high end theater in town. But it is a true Pensacola tradition. I grew up going to the silver screen as a kid. It isn't the fancy or high end at all, but it is humble and comfortable. For me ,that is all I want when I go to see a great movie. I can go in with my jeans and boots on and not be judged. I can order a good whiskey and enjoy a flick with my girl. It is a true southern guys ideal night out, plus a cheep tab. It is sad to see a childhood memory fade away like this place. I hope it will reopen one day, but until then you say farewell to one hell of a great place.

No longer in business - this theater closed although the building is still there. The comfortable and relaxed seating will be missed.

It was unique, probably one of the last of its kind. Maybe someone will buy it and reopen as new. Perhaps if anything is done with the old mall nearby it could get more people back to that area.

OMG!! All of the people whom put a good review about this place obviously have no taste. First and foremost the place was extremely hard to find even by GPS. Secondly....well instead of naming them in this order because there were so many bad things to say bout this place, I'm just going to list them:
--The place was dirty
--Cheaper is not always better: while the place may have been cheap, the food was absolutely disgusting. The popcorn was stale and the hamburger my husband ordered was horrible. I ordered the chicken tenders which were full of fat. I didn't even know that was possible. HINT: before you even order food from this place, peak around the corner of the counter and look back at their kitchen; guaranteed it'll stop you from ordering any food from there. Plus, the white guy and female whom prepared the food were not wearing any kind of gear indicating that they should be working in a kitchen and they picked up food items with their hands and no gloves.
--The place smelt like hot grease and old cornchips
--The guy behind the counter whom looked like 2 Chainz brother was really nonchalant like he could give a damn about customer service.
--My husband and I went to see Wolverine, Part II. The movie had this big ol' line going through it almost the first 30 minutes of the movie. The screen quality was horrible. The movie was extremely gritty.
--The tables inside were rocky and dirty; the room was all on one level so you're SOL if you're sitting behind someone whom is tall.

**Overall, don't even waste your time and money going here; even if you have kids, save your money up and go to the Rave; a whole lot better experience. I don't know how come they haven't even shut this place down yet.**

They are closed. They use the traditional 35mm film, and it is too expensive to convert the equipment over. They have always been a great place To go with children, and I am glad we got one last visit in. We are very said to see this icon leave us

I've been here 2 times since moving to Pensacola. The first time it took about 2 minutes of driving around to find, the second time it was about 10 minutes. I really enjoy the reasonable ticket prices, especially since 3 and under us still free, and the option of drinking an adult beverage. There is a Strong greasy smell that permeates the building but after you're in for a few minutes it's not any more noticeable than if you were in any fast food restaurant. The restrooms were clean and so was the theater. There was a lot of space inside and I love that chairs and tables can move to accommodate any size group. Both movies I watched had small turnouts (Despicable Me 2 and The Conjuring) even though they were opening weekend.
Overall I highly recommend checking this place out. It's cheap entertainment for families and the movie times worked better for date nights as well.

My feet stuck to the floor, theater had a terrible smell, and the people working the concession were clueless and slow. The concession stand was the worst part. I ran out during the movie to grab a drink, no one was in line, lobby was empty so it was fairly obvious I was in the middle of a movie. I order a Pepsi, seems simple right? The guy took forever to get the cup and put my drink in it, then proceeded to stand there and count the drawer BEFORE ringing me up. I should have just left the drink sitting there and went back to the movie. We only went to this particular theater because some of my friends wanted to drink alcohol while watching the movie. Not worth the buzz......

Six friends went to see Identity Thief at the Silver Screen because we enjoy the casual atmosphere and availability of Adult Beverage. We all had a good time but found the actual theater we were in smelled like a moldy basement. Seats & tables were clean and comfortable.
Please fix the mold problem

It's a movie theater. What more do you want? It was clean, in a good location, average theater. The theater wasn't spectacular, but it was a nice one.
