I'd bypassed Pigeon Key several times but this time I took the boat to the Key which is half-way (approx) down the old seven mile bridge. The guide, Reet, was informative and she showed us around the former buildings of the railway workers. The location is fabulous. Visitors are no longer taken to the island by tram, instead they are ferryed over to the island on a small boat. Very fun, saw some dolphin on the way. Great guides...informative, friendly. I was very interested in the history of the "Overseas Railway and highway" so this was a must stop for me. Great views of the famous 'Seven Mile Bridge" both original bridge and new. Bonus for movie buffs who have seen "True Lies". more
