The wildlife was excellent. However, the jelly fish were plentiful. It was a great place to watch the dolphins, pelicans and rays. I definetely would not swim there. We are going to try fishing there next year. The baitfish were everywhere.

Sikes Cut is a man-made cut through what was once St George Island and is now a reduced St. George Island and a newly created Little St. George Island. It is protected on both sides by jetties made of huge rocks. On the bay sides there are little beaches which, on the LSG side is very nice for beach combing....

But the cut is at the end of the Plantation & nt sure whether you can visit if not a guest/member of the Plantation.
The Cut is a great place to look for shells, but wear shoes as the sand is full of pointy shell fragments. I've heard the rocks along the channel have rattlesnakes so be careful! It's a great place to watch the shrimp boats go out to the Gulf.
