It had been 20 years since I had been there last, but 1st time for my wife. Very impressive. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the pieces she focused on. I was visiting friends in the area and they suggested going to the Dali museum. After 5 PM on Thursdays, the museum is discounted to $5. We got lucky and visited on a Thursday night not knowing this in advance. there are also discounts for seniors (65+), teachers, students, military, and US police and firefighters (all require id). The dali museum was WAY better than I had expected. I had heard mixed feelings about it, some said it was really small, some said it was too expensive.
