It was too hot to be outside so my friends and I headed to the pier to be in the air conditioning. Spent a few hours here - ate at Captain Al's and browsed the shops. View from the top is great, pelicans are fun to watch. Nothing fantastic but a nice way to spend a few hours. more

Unlike most others here, I enjoyed the experience enough to make 2 visits. I liked the view. I liked feeding the pelicans - great photo op for kids. How fun.. We loved everything from Riding the cue little trolley from the parking lot to the unique shops inside. We didn't even see the aquarium as we went late int he day and it was still great.. Love the shops and the Columbia restaurant upstairs had a breathtaking view and delicious (yet pricey) food. more

We drove all the way down from Clearwater since it was open late on a Sunday afternoon. It was a total waste of time and money. The aquarium is pathetic - save the admission fee and go to Petco!! more

I think the Pier is great! They have live entertainment on Sunday outside. You can watch the boats and the sea gulls. This is a very relaxing place to go. It is fun for kids too, it has the aquariaum and little shops. It is a must see. There is also trolly rides and bikes you can rent. more
