There are many good beaches in The Sarasota area however Lido is good because it is close to St. Armand's and all of the great shops and restaurants.
As usual, we visited Lido beach nearly every day of our holiday again this year, except when too cloudy or windy. Its lovely, never busy like Siesta Key, sometimes we would be the only ones on the beach early morning, except for the local walkers. Lifeguards are on hand and are very friendly, Fabulous sand, ideal for families and water... More
Love Lido beaches from the calmness of the far North end - the swimming pool and concessions in the middle - to the park and nature trails on the far South end. Lido beaches have it all depending on your mood!
Great beach to come to see an awesome beach area, sand, Gulf of Mexico and superb sunsets. Nice long beaches allow you to have fun, run and layout enjoying the sun. It is one of the only beaches that offers a public pool too. Enjoy!!!
We love this beach. We visit every year. The sand is gorgeous. The water is beautiful year round. They have a nice snack bar that you can get a beer or frozen drink. Not too crowded.
What's not to love? It has the powdery white sand, the beautiful gulf and is not as crowded as other beaches in Sarasota and Bradenton. By far the best place to see the sunset, even if you have to fight through the tourists on St. Armand's Circle. Just don't let too many people know!
And if you do you are sure to say "I would like to come back again". The beach may not be listed as #1 by Doctor Beach but it is certainly a beach that you would not want to miss. The white sand is whiter than most beaches which for the most part are light tan and the sand is... More
This beach is just a little N of Siesta Key, which is the main beach attraction in this area. However, even though it isn't as nice as Siesta Key, it still is a nice beach, especially if you prefer a less crowded beach. There is a concession stand with washrooms next door. There are lifeguards in the main central area.... More
I'm assuming it was an off time that we were there, 2nd week of October but it was very quiet, very few people of the beach. They have free parking and people would come for the sunsets and leave, we experienced the sunsets from out balacony
