We came upon St. Armands Circle as we were driving through Sarasota. I was impressed with the eateries and their outdoor areas to eat - We just walked through and the ALL smelled so good. The best smelling was the Columbia restaurant! I wish we could have stopped to eat somewhere but we just had lunch elsewhere. Even if we... more

Very cute layout/circle of shops and restaurants but...................... I think the shopping is more catered to the older crowd- the stores remind me of the stores in Naples or Boca Raton for the older crowd. There are no true trendy- youthful shops. One store had a few Ed Hardy items in it and everything else was that older crowd retired... more

I come here to go wasp watching. My particular favorite is spotting a family of 4 dressed in matching white outfits carrying bags of clothing from ridiculously overpriced tourist stores. Be sure to check out the shops, particularly those that sell 500 dollars for a single dress made for a 3 year old. Everything sold here you can buy the... more

Do some shopping, enjoy a nice meal, sit and people watch, lay in the sun at the park. All here in one convenient spot for everyone. The shops trend towards the pricy and are niche places, the food is wonderful (esp. venezia sp?) A great place for couples especially to enjoy some time more

Another place in sarasota that is easy to find. Lots of free parking available. A collection of unique shops and galleries. Different types of cuisines for lunch or dinner. And a few ice cream parlors to choose from for dessert. Its a great place to spend an afternoon. more

This shopping area is a great place to spend an afternoon if you don't want to just spend all your time on the beach. The stores are very unique and there are plenty of choices for lunch or ice cream. Everything is quite pricey, but its fun even if you just plan on window-shopping. more

This is an afternoon outing we don't miss in Sarasota when we visit my friend there every year. A beautiful drive across the water to get there, beach, lots of choices of good restaurants and cafes and unique small shops that still have very affordable items. A great place for the "girls" to spend some time together more
