When the most frequent assessment of your organization is ‘That’s really cool’, you know you’re in the right business. The mission of GWIZ – The Science Museum is to be the gateway to lifelong adventures in science, but the real agenda is to ignite imaginations… to show that the world around us is amazing, breathtaking and full of unanswered questions. GWIZ operates a 33,000 square foot center, interactive gallery, critter habitat and Fab Lab. In addition they offer year-round programming for residents, school groups, community groups and tourists.

It is an incredible place to bring your kids no matter how old and watch them discover the world. It's just plain cool!

It was OK. Kids enjoyed playing on things, but based on other hands on places it didnt seem to have as much. Not too many people were there.

I have lived in Sarasota for over 30 years. I have been to GWiz many times over the years with my children, and now my grandson. It never changes. For a hands-on science museum, especially for children; frankly, it's a dump. It is filthy, many broken pieces, inoperable gadgets, etc. With what they charge for admission, and especially for a...

This is a fun place to take kids that are around age 6, to learn hands-on. Even as an adult, I find this place to be a blast!
