I had family visiting from Connecticut, and I took them to Goodwood. I've been to many historic sites, but didn't think one right in Tallahassee would be this unique. The fresco ceilings and marbel mantels are beautiful. I'll definitely take others to see this spot. more
For the life of me, I just don't see what makes this a special place. It's an old, large plantation home. OK. It's a nice place to have a meeting or a picnic. OK. Other than those reasons, I fail to understand why native Tallahasseeans revere this place. It's over hyped in my opinion. more
this historic house sits on approximately 20 acres and has several buildings. the main house is completely furnished according to the last owner of the house. i would highly recommend the tour. you are allowed into the rooms which today is very rare. the decorative art pieces are of museum quality and you can appreciate them without having to lean... more
