This is in my backyard...this is not Florida...it is another place like the Carolinas...I was amazed at the depth and breadth of the trails, springs and sites....we are planning to spend an entire day! Lake George is enormous.

there are not too many really natural places left in Florida and the Ocala forest is a great place to explore. There are black bears and lots of things to explore.

This is an awesome trip. Went with my wife and three teenage children. Tons of wildlife. First thing is to make reservations and get there early, took us five hours to complete and it was somewhat challenging. If your out of shape like I am, you will feel it the next morning, mainly due to my poor canoeing skills. Lots... More

We come to the forest to hike, camps and enjoy the springs. We also like to canoe the rivers esp. the Juniper Spring run. I also hunt there and have taken deer and seen Black Bear. It close to home and I love going up by myself or with family.

Very small but beautiful. For small kids do the little nature hike and swim. I would like to go back and canoe. The quieter you are the mor wildlife you will see.

This is a very big spread out park. I have been to a lot of national parks and must say this is the dirtiest park a big shame because this has so much potential for greater things
