We have been to Weeki Wachee Springs and the Kayak rental business 5 times and every time has been great. The attractions are definitely "Old Florida" - but are all the better for it. All the friends we have taken rate it as better than the Theme parks - even the youngsters. The only slight critism is the difficulty in... more

My wife & I received a gift certificate to rent a kayak from here. The experience was terrible! The staff was rude, not helpful at all, and couldn't wait to get us in our kayak & shove us off downriver (even though no one else was there). We are not experienced kayakers, but they gave us no adivce about the... more

My husband and I took our three grandkids to Weeki Wachee park. They are 3,5 and 6. They were totally mesmerized by the Mermaid show. We visited the water park and had a great time. The next day, we boated up the Weeki Wachee river. It is the best! The water is clear blue and there are tons of places... more

While it may be showing its age a bit this old Florida attraction is still great. Minimal cost includes the Mermaid shows, wildlife education show, a trip down the Weeki Wachee river, and a family oriented water park. This is NOT a "mouse" attraction, rather the smaller more intimate type attractions that made Florida THE vacation destination long before Walt... more

Hurrendous, cost us $64 to get in, kids were too small for slides so although we had paid for them to get into water park and they could not use it no refund was given, the water was absolutely freezing, noone wanted to go in, we saw an animal show, very boring and a mermaid show exceptionally dated.  The boat... more

My grandparents had been there with my father and his siblings when they were kids and so they thought it would be a nice idea to go back and try it out... more

We went to canoe, but the attitude of the person running the store was enough to make us leave. He was very rude, wouldn't answer questions until you paid him, there was no one else in the store let alone waiting to canoe, yet he acted like he was too busy to take a minute to answer simple questions. He... more

Some 20-odd years ago my aunt and uncle took me here to see the mermaids of Weeki Wachee. The park itself hasn't changed much over the years. Which is good. It's nice to see some of old Florida is being preserved. Today, my boyfriend's daughter was absolutely enchanted by the mermaids swimming in synchronization under water. Not to mention they... more

I am a local in the Tampa Bay area. The kayak rental is the worst service and treatment by far in the entire tampa bay area. As a local, I have made several trips there to launch my own kayak and always bring family/friends for trips when they visit. This past week, 3/25 made it the offical end of every... more

This is a great place to a Florida spring, with lots of wildlife and a fun mermaid show. We went in the off-season (October), so there were only 2 mermaid shows a day, plus a show on the history of Weeki Wachee. It's amazing to see the mermaids perform tricky synchronized swimming, all at 15-60 feet deep, and using only... more
