This was the home of Stephen Foster and contained pianos and furniture and displays relating to he and his family and music. He wrote many popular songs that I had not known were his.

There was actually a free concert of Stephen Foster arrangements by locals in the main hall. Refreshments were served afterwards and the local artisans gave demonstrations of their crafts. All this for one carload fee. Great bargain for a family outing.
This park just opened up a new 8 mile bike and hiking trail. Since we hike, we can only give you our impression from that perspective. Stephen Foster state park is a wonderful place to visit. They keep it up so nice and are very welcoming! The museum is nice to visit and you learn about Stephen Foster himself! My husband and I loved it so much, we got married there under the huge oak trees!
