Our bootcamp graduate was very proud to give us a tour, but there were also helpful docents around. A grand facility. The "Last 100 Yards" is powerful, depicting life-size scenes from 8 wars, including cast figures of real Infantry soldiers. Themed Galleries are very impressive with loads of artifacts (30,000?) and excellent and unusual interactive displays. Lots of detailed exhibits... more

I live in Virginia and work in DC, and I can tell you that my visit to this museum on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2009, ranks right up there with the Smithsonian museums I've visited in Washington! The Infantry museum is worth a long drive, and even an overnight stay, especially when you combine it with a visit to the... more

This museum is awesome. Time eras start from the Revolution, Civil War, and continues to present day. I like museums but this one was GREAT!! I love history. I could've spent all day there expect my husband and 17 month old baby were both very fussy and hungry. They also have a resturant inside museum but didn't have chance to... more

This museum is truly incredible and worth the trip. At the present time admission is free, but they will probably start charging an entrance fee. It will still be worth the trip. The faces of the soldiers in the museum were cast from actual live soldiers at Fort Benning. There is an IMAX, which has several different movies. We saw... more

IT's Free and it's great!!!!! We have 2 small kids and they even enjoy it and we loved it. Lots and lots to see and do. I wish we had more time to see everything. They did a amazing job of this, buy far the best I've ever seen. more

The new Infantry Museum located at 1775 Legacy Way Columbus, Georgia is a first class display of the Infantry through history as well as providing a history of Fort Benning. This museum is among the best I have visited and is well worth the time for anyone to see. more

I have been to quite a few museums. This one has been done so well. As you walk up a ramp, there are very impressive displays from various wars. This is not at all scary for anyone to see. We brought our three little children. The displays, every inch of the displays are so professionally done, beautiful, interesting - amazing... more
