Last weekend I visited the gold mine with my young daughters. The staff were very unfriendly, and offered little help in the art and science of gold panning. They made it clear that they did not want to be bothered helping children or novices. No surprisingly, we quickly got frustrated and brought home only one or two tiny gold flakes. more

This is a great place for gold panning or gemstone grubbing. We've been going to this particular mine for about 20 years. It's fun, with a friendly atmosphere. Very family friendly for all ages. It's a family owned business and they remember us from year to year. more
