My husband and I visited Crisson Gold Mine for the first time and was greatly pleased. The young girl at the front desk was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and helped us decide what to do on our first experience in panning for gold. Once outside we toured the grounds and found all very interesting. The young man outside helped us... More

had a great time with the family. They were so helpful with the older and younger family members and the prices were reasonable. Will go back again. Great day trip to the mountains.

We recently took our Sunday school group which constisted of adults and children to the gold mine. We all enjoyed panning for gold and the wagon ride and the children also loved the gift shop. This is definitely a trip worth taking!

Spent about 3 hours with my 11 yr old son and we had a BLAST. About 30 minutes into running a trommel load we found a nice big nugget about the size of my fingernail. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We will be coming back. Thanks for the experience and Nugget. Ps. Lots of flakes... More

We were very dissapointed when we stopped in the Crisson Gold Mine. We were told it was $6 for our kids to pan gold and when we got there the owner and her daughter gave us a run down of their prices and they made it clear we were going spend $30 minimum! They charge $10.00 entrance fee! Really to... More

The trommel takes some time washing the dirt, but to me it's fun watching the process. When you spray the dirt with water, it goes into the trommel and then runs through two sluice boxes. I like to stop from time to time and check out the sluice to see if I have any "picker" pieces of gold. These are... More

Fun to take folks by and let them pan for a few hours. There are all sorts of exhibits, There's a petting zoo, picnic tables, Then we run them through the gift shop. Everything from serious gold mining to jewelry there. Maps too. I like to take advantage of the bags of sand they sell from the mine and bring... More

We took our 4 year old to pan for gems...what a fabulous experience! The front of the building looks rough, but pay your money, get your ticket and head out back for a fabulous experience! The people were so friendly, and they were ensuring things were clean and running smoothly while we were there! I advise to wear waterproof clothes... More
