We love going to Amicalola Falls! The hike up the 425 steps is QUITE the adventure, but even our 6 and 10 year old sons can make the trek. There are plenty of resting spots, and the "payoff" of the view is INCREDIBLE!! Just yesterday, we discovered the handicap access trail that cuts out the whole extent of the steps,... More

So you think climbing 600 steps may be a lot? Well, those steps are definitely worth it. The hike from the Visitor's Center to the Top of The Falls is fairly strenuous with some 600 steps along the way. But half way up you get your reward. The view of the falls is breathtaking. Then you get to the top... More

From the gift shop to the top of the falls, our visit to the park was wonderful. The views as we made our way up the path to the top of the falls were breathtaking. Each stop along the way brought us closer to one of the most awesome sights. Be sure to take your time and not be in... More

Amicalola Falls State Park in Northern Georgia will provide you with a grand day of hiking and awesome views. For a mire $5.00 entry fee you can enjoy a whole day. Do go out the back door of the visitor center, thru the arch and up the mountain to the falls. The first half mile is thru the woods on... More

Absolutely worth the hike to this falls. So beautiful! Very large waterfall that just keeps going and going! Rocky path that just keeps going up and up and several hundred stairs down, I think it was 600+ steps then more walking. I would do it again, it was gorgeous!

What a lovely park! We just went to eat at the lodge but we will definitely go back for some walking/hiking! The Sunday Brunch buffet was awesome! We stopped on a whim while on our way to Dahlonega Bear in the Square just to get something to eat. Little did we know it would be a delicious buffet with everything... More
