On a whim we stopped and checked into Unicoi. From the outside the 'barrel' cabins didn't look very impressive, but when entered they are absolutely wonderful! We had a great stay, loved the cabin, the ladies at the counter were excellent to deal with and the park is very well located. more

The path is paved, mostly shaded, wide and all uphill. It's not a difficult walk for the average person, but the very young and very old might struggle a bit. Toddlers without strollers will be tough. Beautiful waterfalls and clean park. No playground, not much run-around space for little folks. more

It was very beautiful there. But we could not find a playground for are daughter or anything fun to do. It was really crowded there and alot of traffic too. We got pretty lost cause we have not been here before. more

Last year we stayed 2 nites at the lodge.....2 nites in the lake cabins...and spent 3 extended weekends [thur-sunday] in OCTOBER camping. One of your better state parks for camping. Getting around pretty easy, on one side of Hwy is the lodge and lower Smith creek that you need to go down and take a look.
