I took my wife to this park, then three weeks later took my parents. They all agree this is one of the most beautiful parks Georgia has to offer. The canyon is breathtaking. Very convient to Chattanooga TN. more

My family and I stayed in the park recently July, 2009 . We loved this park. It was clean and very roomy. We stayed in the West Rim campground of the park. We had a wonderful time. We played tennis and took several hikes down to the canyon. The park store was very nice, They sell a little of everything.... more

I could write a three-page ewway on how great this place is, and we only went on a a few trails! After doing the overlooks trail (which was easy and beautiful), we ate a picnic lunch in the shade in a lovely place near the trail and conveniently near the parking lot and bathroom. The trails are mostly in the... more

What an beautiful place to visit! Cloudland Canyon has two very lovely waterfalls on a hike that is down, down, down lots of steps. (Following that, it is up, up, up). But it is oh so worth the hike! There are several other hikes including a rim trail hike that is a little over 4 miles. Plan extra time for this hike,... more

We just returned from our second trip to this great state park and I cannot understand why no one has heard of this place. It's amazingly beautiful and within two hours of Atlanta. The trails are gorgeous, the views incredible, and the facilities top-notch. We stayed in a dog-friendly two-bedroom cabin inside the West Rim Trail loop. Everything we needed... more

Cloudland Canyon SP is located in the NW corner of Georgia. There are plenty of signs as its real close to I-59. So with that being said, this SP offers scenic views for all ages. There are plenty of overlooks near the picnic area. Its paved. If you want a chance to regret not exercising more, you could check out... more

I took my friend on his very first camping trip to this state park, and since I had never been here myself, I could only cross my fingers and hope the experience would be a good one. It turned out to be excellent. We camped in the 3rd week of September and the weather was absolutely perfect. We stayed in... more

We stayed in Cottage 15 the first weekend in Feb. with our 2 teenagers (14 & 15). Considering it was a state park and not a major resort, we had hoped for a small but clean cabin, with at least some privacy. When we walked into our unit, we were shocked. This was not a little cabin like some campgrounds... more

Stayed in Cottage 15 in late September. The cottages are spread far enough apart to provide ample privacy and include amenities not mentioned on the park website (microwave, dishwasher, basic baking tools). The trailhead to the West Rim Trail was out our back door. The park is fairly spread out, seems less crowded than many others, and offers quiet nights.... more
