Once again, I enjoyed the grounds more than the interior, but that's just me.
We did a family photo session here for our family Christmas card. The grounds are beautiful and they do tours of the house as well.
There are Antebellum houses, and then there are ANTEBELLUM houses that sparkle more than most. Barrington Hall is such a place. The grounds, the interiors and the stories are well maintained and the stories well told. If you want to visit old authentic Olde South, this is the place to go. It is the home of the Founder of Roswell and one of the few pre-Civil War mansions to survive Sherman's attack on Atlanta.
Pros: A fantastic tour guide led a fun tour through the house, making jokes while explaining the again vibrant hisotry of the house. Again, the Historical Society had most of the original pieces of the house and had restored it wonderfully. The history of the family was also known.
Cons: Must be to the tour on the hour.
