We rented a couple of kayaks (including paddles, PFDs, etc) here in March -- Shane was so cool, so laid back and explained the whole area really well...we were instantly at ease. We just got back from a wonderful, romantic Tybee get-away. Although we did enjoy relaxing on the beach, our favorite thing was renting boats from Shane and Bekah and North Island Surf and Kayak. We had the boats all day and were really able to get a great taste of all the Tybee has to offer. I would recommend renting... more

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! North Island Surf and Kayak is an amazing adventure! I went on the 3 hour kayak tour today, 10/21/2007, from 9am until 12. The owner Shane Parris was also our tour guide!
