These trails weren't nearly what we were expecting from the reviews. They're nice enough and have good views of the lake from certain points, but if you've hiked in mountains, you'll probably be underwhelmed. The trails are also very poorly marked--if you bring along one of the maps you can pick up at a visitors' center, you'll soon discover that... more

We have lived in Coeur d'Alene for almost 10 years, and Tubbs is still one of my favorite places in the area. There is an old post that says the perimeter trail is 3.2 miles around, but every other piece of info I've ever seen states that it is 2.2 miles around, and that also matches how long it takes... more

Tubbs Hill has a lot going for it. Topping the list are scenic views of the lake and a nice variety of trails. If you value seclusion though, you may be disappointed, especially on a nice weekend. If sharing the trails doesn't bother you, then Tubbs Hill is a great place to spend some time. more

Tubbs Hill is located right downtown, on the Lake, directly next to the Resort and the floating boardwalk. The nature trail offers an easy (walking around or part-way around) to moderate (climb to the top) hike. Enjoy nature and soak in some awesome views of the lake and surrounding mountains. I would highly reccomend bringing a picnic lunch and finding... more

I have been hiking Tubbs Hill since I moved here and have fallen in love with it. I even built a website at http://tubbshill.com . The description given here says it is "2 miles" around it but it is actually 3.2 miles. Everybody should experience "The Crown Jewel of Coeur d'Alene". more
