If you're going to be in this area, you must go to Redfish Lake. It's absolutely breathtaking. Our family spent the whole day there just lounging around on the beach of the lake. They had an outside gazebo for food, an inside restaurant and a dock where you could rent various water toys. We were there in July so it... More

Stunning view, pristine water, great hiking trails from both sides of the lake, nice day picnic/beach area, beach that allows dogs. Rustic but very nice old lodge on the lake. Great camp spots. Small grocery store. Our family spent wk ends here for years. You can make reservations for campspots but when they open the reservations, the lake side spots... More

Redfish lake is beautiful. The sawtooth mountains behind the lake are breathtaking and perfect for pictures when they reflect off the lake. I never get tired of going to this lake. The lake is extremely crowded in the summertime especially around the lodge. My favorite time of year for the lake is autumn but you never know how the weather... More

If you want the busiest spot with the most amenities in Stanley Idaho then Redfish Lake and the lodge area are for you. The lake is beautiful. The lodge is nice and well situated. There are boat amenities on this lake. If you want to camp, I would suggest the Mountain View campground on Little Redfish Lake though the main... More

Loved the food. The specials are really "special." Ate here for dinner three times and breakfast once. The entrees were beautiful, perfectly cooked, with excellent quality and presentation. Not as expensive as I thought it would be, especially with wine and dessert. All servers are friendly and helpful. We took our dessert out to the front porch to watch the... More

Near the lodge there are some fun activies - paddle boating and beachy type atmosphere. The paddle boats were fun. $10 for 1/2 hour. I didn't think that was bad. The kids liked going out and I did too. There is a little food hut right there and the food was pretty good but expensive for what it was. We... More
