The FIeld Museum has very good permanent exhibits, especially for children, but I especially like the traveling exhibits. They are always interesting and of the highest quality.

Have been there before, love going back. Free access to Military personnell. Past that, one of the best Museums in the country. reputation preceds itself.
This is an overwhelming facility--more to take in than a visitor can absorb in a day. So, get the map with area info and plan what You want to see.

We loved the Field Museum. The Genghis Khan exhibit was on when we were there and it was fascinating. Seeing Sue the T-Rex was also so cool! Everything we saw was so great! Huge props to the museum--to see so many kids and families there so excited about science was amazing. Well done!

Great natural history museum. A must-see Chicago attraction. As a minimum, plan on a 2 - 4 hour visit. You'll enjoy every minute.
Great place to take out of town guests or kids on a rainy day....so much history its truly amazing.
It is a huge museum to just wander in. Make sure to plan enough time to enjoy everything. We got in with the city pass which saved a lot of money.
