When you go to an "observatory restaurant" a 100+ floors up, one expect's: Great View, Medeorcre Food, High Prices, So-So Service. Actually the food was plenty good (we had a lite lunch), the service was good, prices weren't out of line, and the view was fabulous. All things considered would definitely go back.

When we arrived we went straight there to see everything. I don't like heights and this place was OK. Even the women's room has a view of the water with large glass windows!

Outstanding view, no ticket required -- you just pay for what you will have at the cafe (reasonable prices)

Really enjoy the view, but I can't wait to try out the glass walkway.

Another tall tall building in Chicago. But looove the night views and will recommend you catch the night lights from this observatory. Reasonably priced tickets too

This place has its act together, the lines were non-existant, and it was not crowded on the top, unlike the Willis/Sears observatory. True there is no glass box to stand out of, but there is an open air patio. And seriously, the difference between the two is less than a dozen floors.

Do take the elevator up when it gets dark and walk all the way around to look at the views. They are all different depending on what direction you are facing. Don't buy the overpriced drinks or food, there are many better places in Chicago to do this. All you are there for is the view, so check it out... More
