This longstanding zoo is designed very well with exhibits that have been well designed and maintained. Lots of lovely shaded areas and walkways that wind from one exhibit to the next for families, school field trips and individuals.

The Lincoln Park Zoo is an incredible free attraction in downtown Chicago. It is readily accessible by a bus route that runs right down Michigan avenue after leaving the zoo and dropped us off a few feet freom our hotel doors. It is a very clean zoo. The zoo is really great for families. The zoo is small, but perfect to hold the attention of children. The children like the petting zoo, and you do not have to walk for miles to see the different animals. The location off the lakefront is excellent.

Lincoln Park Zoo is part of Lincoln Park, an oasis in the city of Chicago. I believe it's one of the only free zoos left in the country.

Wonderful Zoo, especially for young children. Compact enough that a family can spend the day without getting exhausted. Great treehouse climbing for children.
