This is the place for a person who likes daring plays i.e. Race by David Mamet; excellent revivals...Iceman Comeith...Brian Dennehey, Nathan Lane...Theatre is well-planned for seating and a restaurant is attached...great for winter weather...parking across the street...located in Chicago's theatre district.

Well located for downtown tourists, the Goodman provides outstanding theater for Chicago. From Eugene O'Neil, August Wilson, to an occasional Shakespeare, the productions are superior.

I've seen quite a few shows at this theater but few compare to the annual production of "A Christmas Carol" . Plan a trip to the city in November or December to see this production inside a "perfetly sized" theater, have dinner next door at Petterino's then take a short walk over to State Street or Michigan Avenue to take... Always professional productions at the Goodman. Albert or Owen theater productions are worth the money.

We were fortunate enough to see "The Iceman Cometh" from the box seats, stage right. More comfortable seating cannot be imagined ( two seats per box, plenty of leg room). We felt as though we were on stage - what a great experience. The snacks and water were reasonably priced as were the broad array of souvenirs available for purchase.... More

Just saw Nathan and Brian Dennehy in Eugene O'Neill's The Iceman Commeth. A long 4 hours and 45 minutes but a great production.. I subscribe to both theaters and love the plays. Many go to Broadway so make sure to catch one while you are in Chicago.

Well if you missed this show - you really missed an unforgettable, praiseworthy performance. No weak links in this cast and although its a trip for us - we love Chicago theater and wouldn't miss a show like this just because of a 5 hour drive. Every bit as good as Braodway.

I was amazed that the cast was able to maintain the level of intensity during the nearly 5 hour long production of Eugene O'Neil's Iceman Cometh. Nathan Lane's portrayal of "Hickey" could have been no different from his role in "Producers" than this. Brian Denehy and Stephen Ouimette could both be nominated for "Best Supporting Actor" if this was Broadway.... More

we were lucky enough to grab last minute tickets. The theater is intimate and the seats are wonderful. I was worried we would be far from the happenings but we were not. Th is is a really good theater to see a play.
