We were totally impressed by this small museum. It gives good information about how Chicago came to be and the impact of the river. Too bad there is not an elevator because we know that some may not be able to climb the stairs. If you can, it is one of the best experiences in the Windy City.

Small museum and you can view the gears and counterweights used to raise and lower the bridge. It was a good place to get out of the heat and humidity since it has air conditioning. Nice displays showing the history of the Chicago River and bridge system.

Museum is small and goes straight up a few flights. Exhibits consist of pictures on walls with brief narratives. Nothing ground breaking, but not expensive so you might as well drop in if you're in the area. Best part is they have extremely clean restrooms, so if you have to go, its worth the price of the ticket for the...
