Lake Michigan has so much to offer. There are nice beahes for swimming or playing volleyball. Many different boats to view from sailboats to yachts. There is a lighthouse you can see, and boat rides to view Chicago's skyline from the lake.

My grandfather, when he came fto Chicago from New York on a visit asked, when he saw Lake Michigan, "What ocean is this." A large, sometimes peaceful, sometimes stormy body of water it provides beauty and recreation for the city.

It's spectacular in any weather; lots of beaches, sailing, a beautiful drive along Lake Shroe Drive is worth the view.

Beautiful beaches, bright sailboats, a pristine view of a grand city, Millenium and Grant Parks, and of course, Navy Pier. If you haven't... More

Always a marvel. Color changes everyday. Favorite spots : Near Adler Planetarium, Lake Forest Beach and in the new park at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Great Art along the way!

Rent a bike at Bobby's Bike Hike and then get on the bike path to go from the beach area to the museum area.
