The concert we attended was terribly over amplified -- even when I turned my hearing aids off!

This theatre is a great venue. The staff was friendly and the seating was comfortable. It is a very short and easy walk from the Metra train.

We saw American Idiot here last weekend, and enjoyed both the show and the location. Only complaint was that our seats in the "dress circle" - lowest balcony - actually had an obstructed view due to the low ceiling of the balcony above ours. We were visiting the city, so I wasn't familiar with the seating and those seats look... More

2nd time coming down from WI to see a show - this time it was American Idiot. We all loved the show and always have a good time at the Oriental Theatre. They run their shows like clockwork and aim to please. Makes a great get-away for a Friday night.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but we loved it. Plus at the oriental theater you really can't get a bad seat. My husband it a big guy so he was a little cramped, but it was only an hour & a half long. Love the old theater atmosphere. The place is beautiful!!

The Oriental Theater is gorgeous! Take time to look around and don't forget to look up! It is a very old theater so it has narrow aisles, only one handicap accessible restroom, and poor human traffic flow. We were there this time to see "American Idiot" and the set and lighting were awesome.
